Families

Explore some of the unique mechanisms of self-defense that reptiles, amphibians, mammals and invertebrates have evolved. Why do skunks spray? What do tarantulas do to protect themselves from predators? Find the answers to these questions and more in this exploration of amazing animal adaptations and instincts.  Hosted by Little Ray's Reptile Zoo and Nature Centre.

For families with children of all ages and their caregivers. Due to space constraints, please register each person attending separately.

About the branch

The McCormick Branch is nestled in the heart of the Lakeshore neighbourhood, providing exciting resources to its residents. The second oldest of Waterloo Public Library’s locations, the McCormick Branch is small but mighty and is part of the Albert McCormick Community Centre which features a large outdoor play area, splash pad and skate park.
