Transition to Kindergarten

For kids ages 3 to 4 years old with a caregiver. This program is intended for children entering kindergarten in September 2025.

About the Program

It’s time to get ready for an exciting adventure – kindergarten! We’ll make new friends and explore subjects related to letters, numbers, and shapes, while also honing interpersonal skills like taking-turns and sharing.

Please note caregivers are part of the learning process, but there will be times we ask caregivers to leave the room for a short period of time to help children begin to transition to a classroom setting.

For kids ages 3 to 4 years old with a caregiver. This program is intended for children born in 2021 who are entering kindergarten in September 2025.

This program is part of a series. There are 4 sessions taking place on Mondays: July 7, 14, 21, and 28.

We kindly remind you that registrations will be removed if the registered person does not meet the program’s specified age requirements.

Early Learning Programs for young children at WPL are based on literacy research and include tips and information for parents and caregivers. Your active participation in these programs will maximize the experience for you and your child.
