This month we will be reading The Wedding People by Alison Espach.
The Wedding People follows Phoebe Stone, a woman at a low point who checks into a luxury seaside hotel in Newport, Rhode Island with no real plan—only a desire for a last indulgence after her life falls apart. Mistaken for a guest at a lavish wedding taking place there, Phoebe becomes entangled with the bride and other wedding attendees in ways that are funny, surprising, and deeply human. As events unfold over the course of the weekend, chance encounters and unexpected connections help Phoebe confront her past, rediscover her sense of self, and consider new possibilities for her future.
