Early Learning Programs for young children at WPL are based on literacy research and include tips and information for parents and caregivers. Your active participation in these programs will maximize the experience for you and your child. 

Breakout Sessions

Blueprint Nutrition: Avoid the Picky Eating Trap Before It Starts

Parents fear raising a picky eater. The goal of this session is to help parents shift the focus from “what to feed” to “how to feed.” We will cover: The food parenting framework that supports curious and/or adventurous eaters (the division of responsibility in feeding); Feeding red & green flags - things to avoid doing/saying at the table and their accompanying "green flags" - what parents can and should focus on. 

Better Bedtime: Naps - A to Zzzz's

Better Bedtime is a full-service sleep consultancy based in Waterloo Region , offering in-home and virtual sleep support to tired families. They will be discussing topics related to your baby's napping habits, like short naps, nap resistance, and naps-on-the-go.
