Ravi will share readings from his newly released book Hope in the Black Hole and offer insight into his creative process, from inspiration to the page. The evening will include time for listening, reflection, and a Q&A with the author. Copies of the book will be available for purchase directly from the writer, with signing to follow.
Interested in going deeper? A bonus Poetry Writing Workshop & Breathwork Exercise led by Ravi will take place shortly after this author event. Space is limited and requires separate registration.
Hope in the Black Hole is the culmination of light years of poetry, woven into a narrative that explores soul-searching through somatic healing, blending mysteries surrounding the cosmos. This book serves as both a dream-like poetic journal of R.K. Gandhi's journey and a potential guide for those navigating their own suffering. The collection draws inspiration from the healing modalities the writer has embraced in his path toward inner peace. Influences ranging from incredible thinkers like Carl Sagan, Joe Dispenza, and Bruce Lipton, to spiritual guides such as Ram Dass, Eckhart Tolle, and Rumi. Each of their work has been collectively instrumental in Gandhi's personal awakening. At the same time, these poems pay creative homage to the visionary worlds of Interstellar by Christopher Nolan and 2001: A Space Odyssey by Stanley Kubrick. The result is a mind and time-bending experience through rhyme, told with his own solar-flare and style.
Ravi K. Gandhi is a Canadian-Indian poet, writer, and educator, living in Ontario Canada. He regularly performs and speaks about the power of poetry in front of audiences. He also runs workshops that integrate ideas around healing from writing, and how it may help dynamically remove stress and trauma that is stored in the body. With a growing online community, his words have captivated the hearts and minds of readers all over the world.
