About the Program
What are deepfakes, and how can they affect what we see and believe online? In this program, we’ll take a closer look at how AI‑generated images and videos are created - and how they can be misleading.
You’ll learn how to spot common signs that an image may not be real, explore simple tools for checking credibility, and build confidence in deciding what information to trust. This session is designed to help you better understand how visual media is changing and how to make informed choices about what you see.
If you’re new to these topics, consider starting with our program Fact Check: Algorithms, Bots, and AI, (happening July 8) where we explore how online information is shaped and shared more broadly.
