About Trevor Clare
Trevor Clare is a visual artist from Kitchener, Ontario, who finds inspiration in local landmarks, hidden gems and the everyday places that shape a community. Working primarily in digital media, he draws from the traditions of oils and acrylics, combining expressive brushwork, colour and contemporary techniques to create his distinctive painterly style.
Trevor’s work explores what he calls “neo-nostalgia,” using light, atmosphere and familiar places to evoke memory and emotional connection. Over time, his practice has evolved beyond simply capturing locations to paying closer attention to the stories and lives attached to them. His paintings invite viewers to look again at seemingly ordinary places and consider the experiences that made them meaningful.
In a rapidly changing world, Trevor is increasingly interested in the role that memory, place and shared experience play in shaping who we are. Through his work, he hopes to create opportunities for reflection and connection while celebrating the people, stories and gathering places that give a community its character.
