Everyone Welcome
Join us at the Main Library for another exciting WPL Community Closet event, where you can "shop" at our free thrift store. Everything is free, you do not need a library card (although we think it's a great thing to have!) and the clothing collection is donated by the community for the community. Various sizes are available and organized by rack.
This idea was thought of and brought to fruition by the Teen Volunteers of the Roots & Shoots Committee thanks to a grant from the Jane Goodall Institute, supported by Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada Inc. Learn more about related programs and community initiatives on our Roots and Shoots page.
Everyone is welcome to visit our Community Closet, children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
Interested in donating clothing?
Please drop-off your gently-used clothing free of stains and tears at the Main Library between 10am and 8:30pm only during the following dates below. We do not accept undergarments or shoes. Excess clothing will be donated to local organizations.
If these dates do not work for you, there will be more opportunities to donate clothing in the Spring!
Accessibility Accommodations: We strive to make our programs welcoming and accessible for everyone. If you have any accessibility needs, accommodation requests, or questions about participating, please contact us at wplprogramming@wpl.ca and we'll do our best to support you.
Photography Notice: Please note that photographs and videos may be taken at this event and may be broadcast, reproduced, and/or made available in print or online. For individual or small group photos, staff will make attendees aware of their presence and will ask permission before taking photos.
For larger public events, please note that by attending, you are consenting to the use of your appearance, image, and voice in print or digital productions created by the Waterloo Public Library for promotional use only.
