The 2SLGBTQ+ Book Club will give participants the opportunity to discuss books by 2SLGBTQ+ authors, or books that explore 2SLGBTQ+ experiences. Register to join us for exciting monthly discussions on the last Monday of each month.  Please scroll down to see a listing of the books we will be discussing each month.

Registrants of indoor programs held at the library will need to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination and ID to participate in programs. Registrants will receive an email from the programmer in advance to explain our safety protocols for in person programming. All participants will be required to self screen for COVID-19 symptoms before participating and should not attend if they are feeling unwell.

**September **
Love Lives Here: a story of thriving in a transgender family by Amanda Jette Knox
Date: Monday, September 27 at 7 p.m.
In this heartfelt memoir, Amanda shares the journey of her family.  From realization and acceptance of her child and spouse as transgender to her own realization of her true self.  A testament to what it means to lead with love.

This is How it Always Is by Laurie Frankel
Date: Monday, October 25 at 7 p.m.
Claude is 5 years old, the youngest of five brothers. He likes peanut butter sandwiches and playing with his friends. He also loves wearing dresses and dreams of being a princess. This is the story of a family who love and support their child and worry about how this secret, once public, will change his world.

I’m Afraid of Men by Vivek Shraya
Date: Monday, November 29 at 7 p.m.
Vivek Shaya has endured acts of cruelty and aggression throughout her life for being too feminine as a boy and yet not feminine enough as a girl. Her story details her journey to embrace who she really is but also, how we all might learn to cherish the things that make us unique and different.

This paranormal story centers on Yadriel, a trans boy, who summons the angry spirit of his high school's bad boy, and agrees to help him learn how he died, thereby proving himself a brujo, not a bruja, to his conservative family
