Opéra Queens is proud to present a first sneak preview of their show Tanya’s Secret along with a live Q&A session! Based on the Tchaikovsky opera Eugene Onegin, this special adaptation introduces young audiences to a love of reading and writing. Based on the great Russian writer Pushkin’s verse novel, Tatyana is opera’s greatest bookworm and Lensky is the poet next door. You’ll also meet Olga, Tatyana’s playful sister who isn’t keen on books and words but maybe like you today — she’ll be convinced too! For families.
Opéra Queens presents opera in drag, gender-bent, and queerified. They have been seen in concert across Québec, Ontario, Nova Scotia, and virtually online around the world for organizations including the Rainbow Reels Queer
and Trans Film Festival, Halifax Pride, Lucky Penny Opera, YES Montréal, McGill’s Queer History Month, Kin Experience, and the Schulich School of Music.
Registrants will receive an e-mail 24 hours before the start of the program with an invitation to join.
