Promoting 2SLGBTQ+ students’ inclusion in schools is pivotal to their mental health and academic success. Fostering positive mental health, increasing student success, and avoiding drop outs and other negative outcomes is important to ensuring a prosperous and healthy future for Canadians and our communities.
Join Michael Woodford and community partner involved in Laurier’s Thriving on Campus research team to discuss how to foster belonging and wellbeing among 2SLGBTQ+ students. Vanessa Oliver, Laurier Brantford Youth and Children's Studies professor will share her expertise in this area and a SHORE Centre sexual health educator will also be on hand to answer any questions about how to talk to teens and young adults about 2SLGBTQ+ issues.
Registrants will receive an e-mail 24 hours before the start of the program with an invitation to join.
