Slingshot Science

James J. Brown AuditoriumFor kids and tweens ages 8 to 12 years old.
About the Program
Get ready to launch, aim, and knock it down! In this action‑packed program, kids will test their skills using slingshots big and small. Start with handheld slingshots and challenge each other to take down “walls,” then level up to a life‑sized slingshot to launch a beach ball across the room!
Along the way, you’ll discover what makes your shots go higher, farther, or faster—but mostly, you’ll be experimenting, competing, and seeing what happens when you give it your best shot.
Come for the slingshots, stay for the excitement, and see how much fun it is when science gets a little wild!
For kids and tweens ages 8 to 12 years old. Please register each child attending separately.
Please note, a caregiver must remain in the library while children under 10 years of age attend a program.
We kindly remind you that registrations will be removed if the registered person does not meet the program’s specified age requirements.
