Eastside Branch
Program RoomFor kids ages 2 to 5 years old with a caregiver.
About the Program
Get outside and explore with this family‑friendly nature adventure around Critter Creek at the Eastside Branch. Each week features themed stories, songs, and hands‑on discovery that invite children to connect with the natural world.
This child‑led outdoor program encourages curiosity, confidence, and imagination through nature play—including opportunities for forest exploration, investigating streams and ponds, and other adventurous play. With a bit of luck, we may even spot some local wildlife along the way!
Please dress yourself and your child for the weather and for outdoor play, rain or shine. If severe weather occurs, the program will move indoors.
For kids ages 2 to 5 years old with a caregiver. Please register each child attending separately.
This program is part of a series. There are 5 sessions taking place on Mondays: September 14, 21, 28, October 5, and 19. There is no program October 12. Please register for each date separately.
We kindly remind you that registrations will be removed if the registered person does not meet the program’s specified age requirements.
Early Learning Programs for young children at WPL are based on literacy research and include tips and information for parents and caregivers. Your active participation in these programs will maximize the experience for you and your child.
