Join us for a special storytime with children’s author Jen MacGregor as she reads her latest picturebook, Mags MacDonald Had a Jetpack. The storytime will be followed by hands-on activities and creative crafts.

This is a drop-in event for families with children of all ages.
Early Learning Programs for young children at WPL are based on literacy research and include tips and information for parents and caregivers. Your active participation in these programs will maximize the experience for you and your child.
About Jen MacGregor
Jen MacGregor has a PhD in social psychology and has worked for years as a university researcher. With lots of academic publications to her name, Jen makes up for all that seriousness by writing funny books for kids. She lives in Ontario, Canada with her husband, son, and dog.
In this high-tech spin on the classic nursery rhyme, Mags MacDonald is left to take care of her grandpa's farm. And on that farm, she has a whole lot of work to do! Will her jetpack with a hose attachment and other gadgets do the trick? Ideal for ages 3 to 6, Mags MacDonald Had a Jetpack will have readers laughing out loud and singing along as they follow a plucky, maker-kid protagonist use creative problem solving, make some mistakes, and persevere to learn from them.
